Boydell & Brewer is committed to best serving the academic community and scholarly communication. We are offering a competitive Open Access option and accept proposals for both new monographs, edited collections and chapters. We will apply the same rigorous peer review process as all our academic titles go through.
We will make a Digital Rights Management (DRM) free PDF available via our own website, JSTOR and other repositories, as required by the funding body. Open Access titles will be marketed alongside our non-OA content in order to deliver value for money to the funders and to drive usage and promote discoverability.
When an OA title is published, we will make it available in paperback within three months, at an accessible price. We will be clear in our bibliographical data and marketing materials that a free digital copy can be obtained.
For more details on our Open Access programme and how to submit a proposal, please visit our
OA page.
